Before you go on your hunt, we would like to help you with any questions that you may have about the care of your trophy. Think of things such as, what would you want done to your trophy? Would you like a shoulder mount, half lifesize, lifesize mount, or rug?
It is important to have this in mind before any cuts are made. There are several methods of removing the hide from your trophy. If you choose a lifesize mount, then it is best to do a dorsal cut down the back of your trophy. If you choose a half lifesize, then try to leave the whole hide attached and the taxidermist will then make the proper cuts. For a rug, it is best to cut down all four legs, belly and chest to open it up flat. We will be happy to help you prepare and answer any and all of your questions before you leave for your trip. 724-547-6882
Are you hunting abroad? If you are hunting outside of this country, we will make you customized tags to mark your trophies, skulls and horns, that will have the necessary information and our address on them to make it convenient for you when you ship your hides back to this country. When your shipment arrives in our studio, we will then contact you. We will be more than happy to answer all of your questions about expediting your hides.
Hunting in Alaska? If you are planning a hunt in Alaska, we will be able to give you a name and address of a tannery in Alaska. This will eliminate the inconveniences of expediting raw skins. Remember, feel free to call us with any concerns and questions. 724-547-6882
